SHAH ALAM: The movement control order (MCO) would probably be extended, say Selangor police.
"I would like to inform that the MCO would probably be extended. All mosques and surau will continue to be closed," said Selangor police spokesperson on Covid-19, Asst Comm Ismail Muslim.
Addressing the press at the state police headquarters on Thursday, he however, stopped short of confirming the extension.
“Any official announcement will be made by the Prime Minister, ” said ACP Ismail.
He also reminded everyone that all activities will continue to be halted as long as the MCO was in effect.
Malaysia has entered its 23rd day of the MCO, where people are instructed to stay at home and movement is heavily restricted.
The MCO is scheduled to end on April 14, barring any further extensions by the government.
